DiCESARE - Albert B., Jr. Of West Seneca, entered into rest September 28, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Joanna M. (nee D'Alessandro) DiCesare; devoted father of Mary (James) Haderer, Joseph (Pamela) DiCesare and Lisa (Christopher) Aebli; cherished grandfather of Christopher, Benjamin (Elizabeth), Ethan, Tara, Samuel, Kelsey and Anabelle; loving son of the late Albert Sr. and Sue DiCesare; dear brother of Sr. Bette DiCesare S.S.J. and Carole DiCesare; also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the Lombardo Funeral Home (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Tuesday from 2-6 PM, Funeral Service will immediately follow. Mr. DiCesare was a Army Veteran of the Korean War, CPL 44th Engineer Battalion. Under the GI Bill he graduated from UB with an Associates of Applied Science in Structural Technology. He earned his professional engineering license in 1974, worked for NYS DOT from 1958 to 1991 in construction, design and maintenance and was the lead engineer during the construction of part of the Kensington Express Way. Albert was an avid golfer and one of the original members of the Gowanda Country Club and a later member of Holland Hill Country Club. He was a longtime season ticket holder of the Buffalo Bills at the Old Rock Pile and the Ralph. He also loved to maintain his vegetable and flower gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Albert's name to Hospice Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd., Cheektowaga, NY 14227.
