Alexis Amanda Sigeti, 33, of East Aurora (wife of Jason Jones and mother to Paxton Jones) passed away on January 11, 2023, surrounded by her family after bravely battling cancer. Alexis was born on September 2, 1989 to Deebe Brown and John Sigeti in Buffalo, NY. She earned a Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering from the University at Buffalo in 2012 and obtained her Professional Engineering License. She was an accomplished Civil Engineer with Watts Architecture and Engineering since 2014. Alexis worked to better the city of Buffalo that she loved so dearly by working on numerous transportation and rehabilitation projects including but not limited to multiple phases of Niagara Street. Jason and her shared a passion for travel, to explore and experience the beautiful places and cultures in our world. She visited 13 countries spanning Europe, Iceland, Scandinavia, New Zealand and French Polynesia to name a few. Alexis and Jason made a home in East Aurora where their son Paxton was born in 2021. She was an avid designer of all aspects of their home to make it a warm loving and welcoming place for all to be. Alexis is survived by her Husband Jason Jones; Son Paxton Jones; parents Deebe Brown, John Sigeti (Jennifer); stepparents Mark Scagglione, Megan Dempsey; siblings Jake and Corinne Sigeti. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made directly to cervical cancer research facilities or the National Cervical Cancer Coalition (NCCC), Wings Flights of Hope, or The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) program for Kids & Teens/Student Activities Reimbursement Fund (StAR). A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held in honor of Alexis on March 18 in Buffalo NY for family and friends.
