GIBSON, Allan A. "Uncle Al" Born in Akron, NY on March 17, 1941, entered into rest on March 18, 2023, having reached his 82nd birthday. Beloved husband of over 40 years and best friend of Deborah L. (nee Caruso) Gibson; devoted father of Rachel Gibson Caruso; cherished grandfather of Francesca "Franki" Tufillaro; loving son of the late Harriett (nee Konkle) and Dean M. Gibson; dear brother of the late Sally Gibson-Strong and brother-in-law of Anthony (late Joyce) Caruso, Barbara (John) Burkholder, late Marlene (Donald) Bracci, and the late Alec Caruso; loving uncle of Laura (late Derek), Curtis (Ani), Anthony (Melissa), Suzanne (Christopher), Paulette (Joey Suto), Laurie (Garret), Darlene (Daniel), Kimberly (Christopher), Alec, and the late Alicia; also survived by great nieces, nephews, and several great-great nieces and nephews. Al was a loving father and uncle figure (Uncle Al) to many. He was the best friend of Ronnie Kirker for over 50 years. Al was an avid racecar enthusiast for over 60 years and involved in many local racecar clubs. Building race motors was a passion of his. He was an employee for over 25 years at Westinghouse and over 18 years at General Motors, being a gifted skilled tradesman, he could build and repair almost anything around the home and always availed himself to help others. Al enjoyed time spent with family and friends, but most especially his times with his Franki. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Snyder Chapel) 4614 Main Street, Snyder (near Harlem Rd.) on Saturday, March 25th from 11:00AM-1:00PM, where a Memorial Service will immediately follow.
