Alma Olive Kelly

Alma Olive Kelly passed away peacefully on August 3, 2024, in Buffalo, New York at the age of 93. She was the third daughter of Malcolm C. and Anna E. (Van Deusen) Horne. Young Alma was lovingly cared for by her big sisters, the late Wilma H. Meyer, and the late Linda M. Ayer. The Horne girls formed an unbreakable bond which lasted their entire lives. Alma dedicated her life to her home and family. She enjoyed decorating, gardening, sewing, and handcrafts. She had a gentle kindness and a friendly smile that radiated to others. She leaves behind a loving family: her children, Gail L. Sexton (Kevin), Barbara A. Burns (Robert), Glenn L. Kelly (Judith), Jeffrey T. Kelly (Eileen), and Joanne E. Matteson (David); along with 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Alma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth L. Kelly. A service to celebrate Alma's life will be held at University Presbyterian Church on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:00am. Lombardo Funeral Home in Buffalo, NY, is assisting with the arrangements. Alma's life was a testament to her loving, happy, smart, and funny personality, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
