Of Lackawanna, Entered into rest September 24, 2010; beloved husband of Margo ( nee Kovach) Alvira; devoted father of Teresa Calabrese, Alesia (Darren) Dombrowski and Jim Alvira; cherished grandfather of Amber, Keith, Anissa, Kaman, Gina, Aaron, Christina, Andrew, Rebbeca and Jessica; adored great-grandfather of Makenzi Severiana Alvira; loving son of the late Ignacio and Maria Alvira; dear brother of Juan, Segund, Dominga, and Paula; also survived by relatives and friends. Mr. Alvira served our country in the Korean War and worked for Bethlehem Steel for 37 years.
