Amy (Amalia) Mucci Castelli

June 3, 1932 – Dec. 1, 2025

Amy (Amalia) Mucci Castelli, age 93, passed away peacefully in her Buffalo home, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Montelongo, Campobasso, Italy to the late Maria Nunzia Musacchio and Rocco Mucci, Amy spent her early years in her beloved hometown before marrying the love of her life, Michael Castelli. Together, they began a beautiful journey in Buffalo, NY, building a home filled with warmth, laughter, and love.

Amy will forever be remembered for her gentle spirit, her kind heart, and the way her warm hugs could make everything feel right. Her kitchen was the heart of her home—where she shared incredible meals, often made with fresh ingredients from her garden, and where family and friends gathered to create cherished memories.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister & aunt whose greatest joy was her family. Amy leaves behind her brother Luigi (Rachelina) and loving children: Lucy (John) Rousselle, Nancy (David) Kowalski, Gina (Heidi Harkins) Castelli, and Sandra (Joseph) Ingrando and many nieces and nephews. Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Michael (Jen), Matthew, Joseph, Lia, Lucas, and Jacob.

Amy also shared her talents beyond her home, working for many years in the alterations departments at M. Wile and AM&A’s. Her dedication and skills were evident in every stitch, and formed the fabric of her friendships that lasted a lifetime.

Faith was the cornerstone of Amy’s life. She found strength and comfort in her devotion and was an active member of her parish community.

Amy’s life was a beautiful example of love, family, and faith. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew her.

Visitation hours will be held on Fri. Dec. 5, from 4-7pm at Lombardo Funeral Home on 3060 Abbott Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Katharine Drexel on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2025, at 10:00am at 135 N. Ogden St., Bflo, NY. (Please assemble at church).
