Huff, Amy K. of Buffalo, entered into rest on January 25, 2024. Dedicated mother of Sampson John and Logan Brown; loving daughter of Christine and Larry Huff, Sr. (Cayuga, Turtle Clan); dear sister of Jessica Huff (Anthony Memmo) and Larry Huff, Jr.; close friend and father of her youngest child, Ryan Brown; bestie sisters of Denisse Santos, Stephanie Elliott and Tilly Martin; loved by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and students. Amy was most passionate about her job. She spent 18 years dedicated to her students in her capacity as Academic Achievement Director. Often times Amy impacted student achievement by integrating cultural, physical, social and emotional activities with the academics. Through her job at Native American Community Services, Amy won thousands, if not more, in grant funding through her exceptional grant writing abilities. Despite her success in this area, which gave hundreds of students the chance to succeed. Amy was best known for her compassion and willingness to give her all to those in need. Amy attended Buffalo State in the 1990's and was inducted into the Rugby Hall of Fame. She coached her son and his teammates on the West Side Black Hawks Street Hockey team. She enjoyed swimming and was an avid sports fan. Her very competitive nature showed every time she engaged in sports. She was an avid Bandits, Bills and Bison's Fan. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Monday (January 29) from 10 AM-12 Noon. A Funeral Service will be held at noon. Burial will take place at the Cattaraugus Missions Cemetery, Irving.
