Muscarella, Angelo of Lackawanna, peacefully passed away on July 29, 2026. Beloved husband of Eileen (nee Ventre) Muscarella; devoted father of Deborah (Randy) Premetz, Lisa (Mahmoud) Akarah, and Julie (Leo) Murphy; loving grandfather of Amanie (Adrian), Tamera (Sammy), Jasser (Sabreen), and Alexa (Josh); cherished great-grandfather of Aliyah, Amari, Jenna, Zara, Theodore, Layla, and Kenza; loving son of the late Biaggio and Giuseppina Muscarella; dear brother of Nancy (Nunzio) Truscello and the late Charles (Carmela), Silvestre (Phyllis), Josephine (Filippo) Albanese, and Concetta (Michael) Collana; also survived by many beloved nieces and nephews. Angelo Muscarella was a man who loved and cherished his family above all else. Born on September 1, 1934, in Montemaggiore Belsito, Palermo, Sicily, he spent his childhood working diligently on his family’s farm. At the age of 14, he embarked on a month-long voyage by ship to America in search of a better life. He settled in Buffalo, New York, where he worked for 42 years at the Ford Motor Company. It was in Buffalo that he met the love of his life, Eileen.On September 8, 1956, Angelo and Eileen were married at Our Lady of Charity Holy Family Parish in South Buffalo, beginning a remarkable 69-year marriage filled with unwavering love, constant laughter, and countless cherished memories. In 1970, they built their family home in Lackawanna, where they lovingly raised their three daughters: Debbie, Lisa, and Julie. That home became the heart of the family, helping shape the lives of their four grandchildren, who spent countless hours gathered around the kitchen table enjoying Angelo’s famous homemade sauce and meatballs. Angelo embodied the American dream. Arriving in this country with little more than hope and determination, he built a life defined by hard work, devotion to family, and enduring joy. His greatest accomplishment was measured not by what he owned, but by the love he gave so freely to those around him. He will be deeply missed by his family and many dear friends, but his legacy of joy, optimism, generosity, and unwavering devotion will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd. near Lake Ave. on Sunday (August 2) from 2-6 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 3148 Abbott Rd., Orchard Park on Monday (August 3) at 10 o’clock. Please assemble at Church. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Angelo’s memory to American Diabetes Association.
