Of Lackawanna, entered into rest on December 17, 2019. Beloved husband of 54 years to Charliene Lorraine (nee Backus) Peters; devoted father of Angelo (Dawn) Peters and Anthony (Bonnie) Peters; cherished grandfather of Anthony, Cameron, Jessica, Julia and Matthew; loving son of the late Angelo and Rachel Peters; dear brother of Ann (David) Moritz and the late Theresa (late Ray) Coviello, Lawrence (late Angela) Basel; fond brother-in-law of Georgette (late John) Romanelli, Patricia (late Joseph) Todaro, Charles (Sandra) Backus, Lawrence David (Kathleen) Backus, Ted (Leona) Backus and the late James (Catherine) Backus; also survived by nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Sunday from 2-7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 3148 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Monday morning at 10 oclock, (please assemble at church). Flowers gratefully declined. Mr. Peters served in the US Navy, was a member of the American Legion Matthew Glab Post #1477 and was a retired supervisor at the Ford Stamping Plant with 30 years of service.
