ECKERT, Anthony "Tony", 72, of City of Tonawanda, entered into rest on December 3, 2024. Beloved husband of 32 years to Julia K. (nee Vallon) Eckert; devoted father of Kim (Salvatore) Veneziano, Tina (Dan) Farley-Lyman, Terri Lynn (Joe) Pufal, Traci (Scot) LaFalce, Edward (Maggie) Farley, Julie Farley and the late Michelle G. Eckert; cherished grandfather of Jason, Matthew, Adam, Tina, Eddie, Kim, Ashlie, Alfonso, Salvatore, LeighAnn, Joey, Mario, Christopher, and the late Cory and Andrew; fond great-grandfather of Tzephania, Julianna, Jay, Lily, Daizee, Dahlia, Dane, Natalee, Levi, Enzo, Scot, Mason, and Vinny; adored great-great-grandfather of Aubrey and Odessa; loving son of the late Frederick and Josephine (nee Gabrys) Eckert; dear brother of several brothers and sisters; also survived by nieces, nephews and friends. Tony was honorably discharged from the US Marines in 1974, serving in the Vietnam War era. A jack of all trades, his love in his spare time was astronomy. He enjoyed using his telescope. He also enjoyed assembling model planes and cars. He also enjoyed listening to music, fixing anything that was broken and above all, spending time with his family. Relatives and friends may visit Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/ Sheridan Drive on Tuesday, December 10 from 5-6pm.
