NICOMETO, Anthony J. "Tony" June 27, 1943 December 28, 2023 Of Lackawanna, entered into rest December 28, 2023. Beloved husband of Theresa (nee Marrano); loving father of Anthony F. (Carolyn) and Thomas J. (Ellen); devoted grandfather of Elizabeth (Zachary Carpenter), Joseph A. and Jennifer E. Nicometo; loving brother of James T. ( Patricia Takacs); loving son of the late Loretta (nee Amorosi) and James T. Nicometo; loving bother-in-law of Frederic J. and Susan, Mary, and Grace Marrano; also survived by many other wonderful relatives and friends. Tony was a member of the Lake Erie Italian Club, Galanti Athletic Association, Frontier Retired Teachers and Coach of numerous baseball teams. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave. on Monday (January 1) from 2-7PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthonys Church, 306 Ingham Ave., Lackawanna on Tuesday morning at 10AM. Please assemble at Church. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.
