Age 93, of Williamsville, entered into rest on January, 14, 2025 in Brighton, NY. Beloved husband of Clara (nee Quagliana) Sorrento; devoted father of Thomas (Ann) Sorrento and Diane (Joseph) Striegel; cherished grandfather of Laura (Ben) Plummer, Andrew (Jiwoon) Sorrento and Sydney and Connor Striegel; adored great-grandfather of Sophia, Ethan, Olivia and Lily Plummer and Mia and Giovanni Sorrento; loving son of the late Charles and Mary (nee Lunetta) Sorrento; dear brother to the late Vito Sorrento, late Vincent 'Jimmie' Sorrento and late Sarah Plapus; also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. A graduate of Hutch-Tech High Scool and Buffalo State College, Tony taught Math at Clarence Central High School. He served in the US Army during the Korean War, stationed in Panama in the Army Band. A talented musician, Tony played the saxophone, clarinet, flute and piano. His weekends were very busy with his wedding band which included his son, Tom, on bass guitar. He loved bowling and was an accomplished bowler, having bowled on the Professional Bowlers Tour, Western NY Bowlers Hall of Fame and three perfect 300s. He was talented in handcrafting wooden jewelry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 4375 Harris Hill Rd., Clarence on Saturday, January 25th, at 10a.m. (please assemble at church). Entombment Mt.
