Barbara will be forever missed by family and friends. She was the beloved wife of Donald J. Krantz and loving mother of the late Michael Paul. She is survived by her daughter Elizabeth (late Thomas) Chanelli and two grandsons, Christopher and Scott Chanelli. Barbaras surviving family also includes her sister, Ruth (late John) Liegl, sister-in-law, Mary Jane (late John) Krantz, nephews John (Maria) Krantz, John (Patti) Liegl, and niece Judith (James) Vaux. She was predeceased by her parents William and Emma Gmeiner. After graduating from Pine Hill High School, she was proud to work at Remington Rand as an address o graph operator. Following her marriage, she helped out at the family business, JF Krantz Nursery. After Donalds death, she worked in the florist shop at Mennes Nursery. She enjoyed her time there and retired in 1998. Barbara never stopped learning, taking night classes in everything from French to line dancing. After taking art classes, she was often paid to model and pose for other classes. Barbara always remained physically active practicing yoga and swimming. She was an avid reader, letter writer and gardener. In her spare time, she volunteered doing Meals on Wheels, helping the disabled during their bowling outings, and visiting with the homebound. Barbara never held back. She spoke her mind, laughed heartily, was fiercely loyal, and cheered louder than anyone at our sporting events. More than anything she enjoyed being a caregiver and loved deeply those closest to her. A memorial mass to celebrate Barbaras life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, November 14th, at St. Benedict Church. Condolences can be made at www.lombardofuneralhome.com
