Of Tonawanda, entered into rest December 22, 2022. Beloved wife of Robert J. Maturski; devoted mother of Julie (Dean) Shaver, Joseph Maiorana, Jill Maiorana, Jacqueline Maiorana (Jane Staley) and step-mother of Robert (Shari) Maturski; cherished grandmother of Jessica, Jacob (Shealyn), Jared, Jack, Anthony, Jayonie, late Joey, and great-grandmother to one on the way; loving daughter of the late Dominic and Malia Musilli; dear sister of Octavia (late Joseph) Ware and the late Lucille (late Jack) Holler; also survived by many nieces, nephews, loving friends and colleagues. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Christophers RC Church at 10:30AM. Entombment Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Barbara was a devoted single mother to four children. She worked very hard to provide for her family and put all of her children through college. Her devotion continued with her seven grandchildren whom she adored. Her career in real estate began in 1975 and lasted through 2020 when she sold her last house to her grandson and his wife. She won many awards throughout her career. Barbara was a dear friend to all and had an active social life. She loved to travel with her husband, Bob, especially to Vermont. They spent winters in St. Pete Beach, Florida where they enjoyed dining at their favorite restaurants, going for walks, visiting the gym, and spending sunsets together at the beach. Barbara loved playing Mahjong and was part of the Mahjong club at her condo association in Florida. Barbara was known to all as vibrant, full of life, and always on the go with a smile on her face.
