POWIS, Benjamin E. of Akron, entered into rest July 2, 2023. Beloved husband of Bernadette (nee Gerace) Powis; devoted father of David James (Ann Marie) Powis, Peggy Jean (Bobby) Bojic, and Andy (Rose) Fredenburg; cherished grandfather of Coleton, Dominic, Madison, Alex, Zachary, Maggie, Joey, and the late Allison; adored great-grandfather of Ava and Trent; loving son of the late Kenneth and Edith Powis; dear brother of Kenneth (Denise), Robert (late Joyce), William, Norman (Heather) Powis, and the late Kathryn Cheney and late Richard Powis; special uncle of Christopher Cheney; also survived by many family and friends. A Celebration of life will be held in Crossroads Christian Church, 1050 Girdle Rd., East Aurora, on Saturday July 8th for visitation from 9-10 AM with a Funeral Service to immediately follow.
