CEBULA - Bernadette (nee Szewc) Of Lackawanna; entered into rest December 14, 2020; beloved wife of the late Marian Cebula. Our parents were truly in love, always holding hands. Devoted mother of Cynthia (Gary) Barush, Michael (Laurie) Cebula and Marc Cebula. Cherished grandmother of Kathryn (James) Riches, Robert (Rachel) Barush, Gina Cebula, Leigh Cebula and Jeffrey (Alisha) Cebula. Adored great-grandmother of Electra, Jack, Louie, Jaiden, Roman and Dominick. Loving daughter of the late Joseph and Rose Szewc. Dear sister of three brothers and five sisters. Also survived by nieces and nephews. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, in Our Lady of Victory Basilica, corner of S. Park and Ridge Road, at 9:15 oclock. Private interment for the immediate family will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Bernadette enjoyed gardening, singing around campfires, especially when her sons played guitar, with her favorite song being You are my Sunshine. She always won at Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble, loved playing cards with her parents and siblings. Bernadette was a history buff, followed politics passionately, a lifelong Democrat and member of O.L.V Basilica. She also was a night owl, loved true stories, the outdoors, strawberries and hot spicy chicken wings. Arrangements by LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel).
