Of Amherst entered into rest on June 8, 2026. Beloved wife of David H. Schnell; devoted mother of David J. (Amy) Schnell, Sandra (Rob) Kaczmarski, Carolyn (Bill) Weber, Dennis (Kelly) Schnell, and Margie (Eddie) Saleh; cherished grandmother of David, Adam, Andrew, Brent, Nathan, Aaron, Kyle, Shane, Ryan (Erin), Brittany, Alexi, Lydia, Elaina, and Amelia; adored great-grandmother of Jonah, Mila, Finley, Nolan, and Archer; loving daughter of the late John and Angeline (nee Wlodarczyk) Harzewski; dear sister of the late John Harzewski and Alice Durawa; also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Mom aka; Beezer, Bea , (Aunt)Bibi, Grandma, Grammy, and Gram Cracker, will not be remembered by her final years of health concerns but of the abundance amount of caring, selfless acts and profound impact she had on others, her entire life. She was a loving, supportive, dedicated wife for over 60 years to Dave. She enjoyed the ocean, beach and a unique love of lighthouses and enjoyed vacations with her husband to these destinations. They also enjoyed special mornings with a cup of coffee and listening to the tunes of a shared love for music.

She was initially a stay at home mother to her five children and also taking care of Aunt Mildred who lived to her 96th birthday ,who lived with them. Eventually while caring for her children, Aunt and working as an aide at a nursing home she attended college graduating with honors to become a nurse. Which She dedicated many years, speaking to her endless giving nature. She had a special character that included patience, empathy and resilience and an unwavering dedication to preserving the dignity and quality of life for the elderly. Although she lost her mother at the young age of 19 she had a natural ability to take on the role of a mother with confidence and expertise.

She enjoyed the life of provider and cooked daily making, homemade dinners, goulash, spaghetti sauce, and grape jelly just to name a few things. She enjoyed baking cakes and pies and provided for her family in many ways. She had a solid foundation with her church, God and many saints especially Saint Jude, and passed this blessed lifestyle down to her family.

She was a spunky woman, who could have you laughing easily with her quick wit. She had a good sense of humor and was frequently smiling. Those lucky enough to know her adored her! She will be missed by many and remembered fondly by all the lives she has touched with her love.

Relatives and friends may visit Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Monday, June 15 from 2-4 and 6-8. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X R.C. Church, 1700 North French Road, Getzville on Tuesday, June 16 at 10AM (please assemble at church.) Interment St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
