Blanca Nelida Rodriguez

Rodriguez Blanca N. (Gomez) (nee Leon) 92, of North Tonawanda, formerly of Buffalo, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning (May 7, 2024) at Niagara Hospice in Lockport, NY. Blanca was born Feb. 8, 1932 in Cayey, Puerto Rico, the daughter of the late Candido and Francisca Leon-Melendez. A Buffalo resident for most of her life, Blanca retired from the Department of HUD and Erie County Senior Services. Beloved wife of the late Eladio "Yayo" Rodriguez, Dearest Mother of Debra M. Gomez-Welch (Robert Welch), the late Jose A. Gomez, Wanda Rosado (Nestor), Raymond E. Gomez, Bryan A. (Leisamarie) Gomez, and Lawrence Gomez, survivors include two brothers, Victor Carrasquillo of Weston, FL, Candido (Nancy) Leon of Buffalo, NY, and her sister Gloria St. John of Atlanta, GA. Blanca was preceded by two sisters, Myrka (Gonzalez), Candida Rosin (Glosek), and two brothers Carlos Leon and Jorge Leon. Blanca is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a visitation at LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, 4614 Main Street, Snyder, NY 14226 on Friday, May 10th from 2-8PM. A prayer service will be held at 6PM. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 10AM and the interment will follow at Forest Lawn cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined.
