Beloved husband of 61 years to Louella LaPlante; devoted father of Juanita (Bill) Kingsland, Deborah (late Mark) Badaszewski, Meloney (John) Walterich, Bruce "Gary" (Rosy) LaPlante Jr., and Matthew LaPlante; cherished grandfather of 13 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; dear brother of Diane Schneider. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Sunday from 3-7 PM, where a Funeral Service will be held Monday morning at 9 o'clock. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Gary was a lifetime member of the U.S.S. Wasp Organization and an exempt member of the Newton Abbott Fire Company.
