Bryan T Herb

On Thursday February 17, 2022, Bryan Herb departed this stage of existence, rising upon the horizon of a perfect endless day at the age of 44. Bryan was born on March 13, 1977, in Buffalo, NY. He was a proud father to Payton, Madison, Dylan and Jaxon. Bryan was Intelligent and a gifted athlete. Growing up he loved wrestling. He breathed it. Lived it. Loved it. It wasnt just a sport or glorified hobby, but rather, it was his glory. The wrestling mat was a place of honor, technicality, and strategy. In a way, it was his church and place of prayer and redemption. A place of confession and a test of faith, the place where if he knew he poured his heart and tears into, he would be heard. He would win. And boy did he win. When he was 18 years old, he was the New York State Section VI Wrestling Champion. To his family and friends, he didnt need a shiny trophy to prove it though. He was always a champion to us; he was a warrior. Following high school, he joined the Navy, wrestled for the Navy Olympic team, got a pilots license and degree in aviation working as an air traffic controller in Long Island. Bryan was a protector. He had such a bright light that tugged on your heart. When you were a part of his light, he had a way of making you feel special, and for lack of a better trendier word, I dare say cool. Bryan leaves behind a hole in our hearts that feels horribly vast and empty. He will be missed beyond understanding. Bryan is survived by his 4 children Madison, Payton, Dylan and Jaxon; parents, Pamela Dossett (Powers), Dave Dossett, Brian Herb.; grandmother, Helene Slowinski; siblings, Thomas Dossett, James Dossett, Casey Edmonds (Dossett) , Michael R. Herb, Shawn P. Herb, Cory Herb, Step-mother, Debbie Herb; best friend, Tom McCabe III and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A funeral service will be held at Eastern Hills Church 8445 Greiner Road, Williamsville, NY on March 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM.
