Carmen L. Harris

HARRIS - Carmen L. (nee Hare) May 9, 2022, of Buffalo, NY. Dearest mother of Michele R. (John E.) Davis; sister of the late June Grinage; sister- in-law of Sandra Cook (late Roy F. Cook, Jr.) of Greensboro, NC; sister of the late Doncarlos Cook; also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 18th, from 2-5 PM at LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, 4614 Main St., Snyder and Thursday, May 19th, from 10-11 AM at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 26 Brunswick Blvd., Buffalo, NY. The Funeral Service will immediately follow at 11 AM. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Carmen Harris was a retired Buffalo School Teacher. She started teaching 7th grade and went down in the grades retiring after teaching first grade. During her career, she served in various capacities, Special Progress Teacher, Helping Teacher and Teacher in Charge. She taught for 38 years. Carmen is a life-member of the NAACP and Buffalo Retired Teachers. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Buffalo Alumnae Chapter.
