Celia Figueroa

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Celia Figueroa, who left us peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, at the age of 86.

Born on March 14, 1939, Celia was the beloved matriarch of our family—a woman whose warmth, strength, and unwavering love touched everyone she met. She devoted her life to her family and was a loving mother to Juana Rivera, Diady Rivera, Billy Rivera, Jonny Colon, Alice Colon, Josephine Colon, and the late Judith Colon and the late Robert Colon. She was also a cherished grandmother to many, each of whom she adored deeply.

For 38 beautiful years, Celia shared her life and love with her partner, Luis Flores. Their bond was one of true companionship and affection.

Celia’s legacy is one of compassion, resilience, and unconditional love. She was the heart of our family—always welcoming, always giving, always loving. Her presence lit up every room, and her memory will forever live on in all of us.

We will honor Celia’s life with a visitation on Wednesday, June 18, from 4:00 - 8:00 pm at Lombardo Funeral Home on Niagara Falls Blvd in Amherst. Funeral services will be held the following day, Thursday, June 19, at 11:00 a.m. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and celebrate her remarkable life.
