Charles Hall

Of Angola , entered into rest May 14, 2012. Born June 29, 1925 in Rochester, NY. Beloved husband of the late Irene (nee Edwards) Hall; devoted father of Michael, Mary Grace (Steven) Bauer, Catherine Jane (John) Ort, Elizabeth Ann (James) Meier, Bernadette Marczak, Marguerite (Robert) Burton, Christopher (Susan), Timothy (Kathleen), Patrick (Carol), Matthew (Patricia), Jacqueline (Tracy) Krug, Stephanie and the late Daniel Hall; cherished grandfather of 32 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; loving son of the late Charles W. and Helena J. (nee McGrath) Hall; dear brother of the late Elizabeth (late James) Gala; also survived by four nephews and four nieces. Charles was very religious, and regularly attend church. He was a devoted family man, and was married for 65 years. In 1943 he enlisted in the Army, becoming a paratrooper and was honorably discharged after being injured during a jump. He attended college on the GI Bill, graduating from the University of Rochester as a Mechanical Engineer, and held a license as a professional engineer. After a few years of working for Mobil Oil, he started his own business, which was successful for about 40 years. He enjoyed nature and traveling.
