Charles Neri

Charles "Charlie" Anthony Neri passed away November 6, 2023 at the age of 81 in his family residence in Allen, Texas. He was born June 2, 1942 in Buffalo, New York to Mary (Bartolotta) Neri and Samuel Paul Neri. Charles served for several years in the Armed Forces of the United States completing his officers candidate school in August of 1967 and received an honorable discharge in October holding the rank of Lieutenant. Charles was married to Evelyn Blake in September of 1967 while serving. Attending Canisius College from 1969 1975 Charles earned his Bachelors Degree in Accounting, while working and raising a wonderful family. In June of 1977 Charles was admitted into the longstanding National Association of Accountants. Charles was also a longstanding member of the Knights of Columbus obtaining the position of 4th degree Knight. Charles is survived by his wife, Evelyn Neri of Allen, Texas; daughter, Jennifer Lynn Neri Beggs and her husband, Jared Beggs of Ransomville, New York; daughter, Nicole Christina Neri-Gumpert and her husband, Timothy Gumpert of Gordonville, Texas; grandchildren, Christina Lynn Summerhays and her husband, Ryan Summerhays of Rocksprings, Wyoming, Reid Thomas Beggs of Ransomville, New York, Blake Thomas Gumpert, Anthony James Gumpert, Ashleigh Nicole Gumpert all of Gordonville, Texas; great grandchildren, Aubrey Lynn Summerhays and Tyler James Summerhays both of Rocksprings, Wyoming; brother, Diego Neri and wife, Lynda of Syracuse, New York and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Neri. A memorial will be held on Saturday December 02, 2023, at 12pm at the Lombardo Funeral Home, 4614 Main St., Snyder NY 14226. Immediately following the 1-hour memorial there will be a 1/2-hour graveside dedication. At Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3063 Harlem Rd., Buffalo NY 14225.
