Christine Ann Melvin

Christine A. Melvin was born to the late Leo and Helen Walthall in Lackawanna, New York, on July 11, 1942. She transitioned from this life on January 21, 2024 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Clark. Beautiful memories of her life will be cherished by her children, Dwayne (Natacha) Melvin Sr of Henderson, NV, Rev. Terrence (Sonja) Melvin of Hamburg, NY, Venus (Mark) Hill of Louisville, KY, Danielle Salter of Buffalo; grandchildren, Dwayne Melvin Jr, DJuan Todd Melvin, Cheniqua Melvin, Jalicia Melvin, Venus Melvin, Candice (Dwight) Barlow, Terrence (Carnita) Melvin Jr, Crystal Melvin, Brandon (Jessica) Hill Sr., Brandi Hill, Michael Norris Jr and TeuVonn Salter; 18 Great-grandchildren; a sister, Doloris Shaw; long-time friends, Brenda Smith and LaCearne Banks; and a host of nieces, nephews, "adopted" family members and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. (near Eggert/ Sheridan Dr.) on Thursday, February 1 from 4-8pm. A wake will be held at Second Baptist Church, 18 Church St. Lackawanna on Friday, February 2 from 10-11am and where the funeral service will immediately follow. Interment Mt. Hope Cemetery.
