Craig Thomas Lay

Age 72, of Buffalo, entered into rest on August 9, 2025. Devoted son of the late Richard Lay DDS and Mary (nee Goodman) Lay; beloved brother of Mark (Beth) Lay, Laura (Dominic) Teti, and the late Ronald Lay DDS; cherished uncle of Alan Lay, Eric Lay, Kyle Lay and Molly Teti. Craig served in active duty in the US Navy from 1971-1975 in the Mediterranean. He then served in the Navy Reserves for a total of 20 years. Craig received an associate's degree from Bryant and Straton College and afterwards was awarded his bachelor's degree in business from the University at Buffalo. He worked as an electrician, retiring from General Motors. No prior visitation. A private service will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 7269 Ward Rd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 and/or to the American Legion, 6525 Ward Rd, Sanborn, NY 14132.
