Of Amherst, NY reunited with his wife on August 12, 2026. Beloved husband of the late Lynn (nee Sullivan) Paul; devoted father of Michelle (James) Gallagher and Lindsay (John) Rathbun; cherished grandpa of Lyra, Leo, and Logan; loving son of the late Joseph and Dolores (nee Joyce) Paul; dear brother of Robert Paul (Ellen Scully); survived by loving cousins, nieces, nephews, and many dear friends, especially Ann Schneider and Dave and Sandy Winnen; predeceased by his beloved pets. David was raised in South Buffalo. He was a veteran of the United States Army and dedicated United States Customs Supervisor. David was an avid gardener, traveler, and host, who valued honesty and always had his friends and family's backs. He will be loved and missed beyond words. A graveside service with military honors will be held at St. Matthew's Cemetery, West Seneca on Saturday, August 22 at 11 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at Lombardo Funeral Home (Snyder Chapel), 4614 Main St. from 1-3 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, The Erie County SPCA, or Metavivor Metastatic Breast Cancer Research.
