Debbie Ann Meier

MEIER - Debbie Ann 68, of Buffalo, NY, formerly of Dutchess County, NY passed away peacefully on Saturday (January 23, 2021) at her home in Buffalo. Deeply devoted to her family, Debbie lived and grew up in Dutchess County, NY until retirement from Dutchess County BOCES, when she moved to Buffalo, NY to spend time with her children and grandchildren. She took great pride in watching her grandchildren grow up. She held a pronounced appreciation for architecture, originally training as a draftswoman. She would go on to design four homes for her family; which would be built by her husband, Thomas Peter Meier. She loved all things related to the ocean, traveling to visit often, with her favorite spot being the small coastal towns of Rhode Island. Debbie was predeceased by her father, William Midge Tkazyik Sr. in 2012, and mother Genevieve Tkazyik in 2014, both of Poughkeepsie, NY. She is survived by her husband, Thomas Meier, son Kris Meier, daughter Kimberly Meier-Dehr and two grandchildren Aiden Meier and Brooks Dehr, all of Buffalo, NY. A small private ceremony will be held for the immediate family. Should friends and family desire, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
