HOPKINS - Delia Dee (nee Buell) Age 82, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2021, at her home in Tonawanda, NY surrounded by her loved ones. Dee was born December 24, 1938 in Buffalo, NY. Beloved Wife to her recently departed honey of 65 years, Ronald L. Hopkins Sr. Loving Mother to Linda Hopkins (preceded in death), Ronald Hopkins Jr. and Sheri Hopkins (Schuh). Admired sister to Mickey Buell, and daughter to Christine Buell (preceded in death). Adored Grandmother to Ronnie Scott Hopkins, Christine Hopkins, Lindsay (Joseph) Bongiovanni, Ashley Schuh, Christie Schuh, Demitri Hopkins and Levi Hopkins. Treasured GreatGrandmother to Matthew Maglietto Jr., Cora Hopkins, and Lylah Williams. Dee was a caring and compassionate soul. She was a retired respiratory therapist at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Dee forged life-long friendships throughout her career. She also loved her neighbors dearly and thought of them as family. She took immense pride in her home and exquisite garden, which we all marveled at. Not only did she have a green thumb, but Dee was an excellent cook. When asked what her late hubbys favorite dish was, she said He liked them all! She was the perfect mixture of class and spunk. Dee had an affinity for travel, and traveled the world with her two Aunts. She loved to talk about the places shed been and the experiences she had, her favorite being Slovenia. The best part of Dee was her heart. She made all of us feel loved during every encounter we had with her, hugging us, holding our hand, kissing our cheeks, or being her sweet caring self. She would ask us Do you know how much I love you?!...I love you madly! When you told her you loved her back, shed tell you she loved you more. Her absence is felt and will forever leave a void. Dees legacy of love will forever be cherished by her family, friends and especially her dog Haley who never left her side. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in memory of Dee to the SPCA, to help animals in need. Arrangements by LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel).
