Dennis M. Couhig

Couhig, Dennis M. May 13, 1942 - January 4, 2025 Of Blasdell, entered into rest January 4, 2025. Beloved husband of Donna (nee Tobias) Couhig; devoted father of Shannon (George) Rivera and the late Jeffrey (Jennifer) Couhig; cherished grandfather of Jordan Rivera; loving son of the late Clinton 'Bud' and Leona (nee Holsten) Couhig; dear brother of the late Donna (late Larry) Arencino, late Clinton Jr. 'Bootsey' (late Lorraine) Couhig and the late Thomas (late Rose) Couhig; predeceased by his beloved pup, Punkin; also survived by nieces and nephews. Dennis was a proud veteran of the US Navy. He worked as an Erie County Sherriff for many years. He loved all things sports, especially golfing in his younger years. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave. on Thursday (January 9) from 4-7PM. A funeral service will immediately follow at 7PM with military honors. An inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna on Friday afternoon at 1PM. Please assemble at the cemetery office. Flowers welcome. If desired, donations may be made in Dennis' name to the SPCA of Erie County.
