Mr. Sfeir 72, of Amherst, affectionately known as "Dennis The Menace", entered into rest on August 2nd, 2024. Graduating from Amherst high school, attended Villa Maria College where he met his beautiful wife of 49 years, Angela M. Santora. While attending Villa, he became an active member in the student government which included participating in many social events. Dennis was elected the First Alumni President at Villa Maria College. Over his many years, Dennis was the store owner/manager for several companies including Hectors Hardware of Lewiston and several Family Dollar Stores. He later became the Facilities Maintenance Manager for James Desiderio Produced, worked as a sales associate for Lowe's Home Improvement, Security Guard for Amherst Security Professionals, and was a Door Greeter for The Home Depot Co. As an active member of St. John Maron Church, Dennis served as an officer of The Holy Name Society and Chaired many fund-raising events. He Inaugurated the Churchs first Major Fund-raising event, The St. John Maron Lebanese Festival and because of his hard work and dedication, he was awarded The Man of the Year award in 2010. Dennis, always wanting to be active in fundraising and events, was a member of the Williamsville North High Schools various booster clubs. He served on the Board of Directors for Mathewson - McCarthy Babe Ruth Little League Baseball, where he served as President of the Booster Club, had a short run as a Team Manager, chaired the Concessions stand and ran the Baseball Leagues Booth at Old Home Days. Dennis was also an active member with The Kiwanis Club of Lewiston and where he served as The Niagara Co. Peach Festival Field Arrangements chairmen for many years. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife Angela Sfeir (nee Santora); devoted father of two sons, Michael and Jonathan and two daughters, Nicole Sfeir (Rich) and Stephanie Slayback (David); Five grandchildren Kristin, Jacob, Kailey, Lukas, and Zachary. Beloved son of the late Naja 'Joseph' Sfeir and the late Rose 'Connie' (nee Buffamonti) Sfeir; Loving brother of Gary (Ann) Sfeir, Lydia (Sal) Cantali, Cynthia (John) Aguglia and the late Josette Sfeir. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., Amherst (near Eggert Rd.) on Saturday August 10th from 2-7pm. Flowers are graciously declined.
