Derek A. Clemons

Derek Aundrea Clemons was born in Buffalo, New York on December 20, 1967. He went home to be with the Lord Jesus on Wednesday, April 29, 2020. He was the devoted father of Marissa, Derek, and David Clemons; loving son of Juanita Clemons; cherished grandson of Dolores Clemons; loving brother to Ivory Griffin; loving god-father to Joshua Parker, Jeremy Arnold, Mia Arnold, and the late Michael Brown; and leaves behind a host of family and friends. Derek was a devoted father who provided for his children. As a loving son he always took good care of his mother. He always worked hard to make sure everyone had what they needed to ensure future success. He was a father figure to many, many others. Derek was the owner of Derek Is Hair in Buffalo for 30 years. He was also the owner of The Boardroom Barbershop. He often provided free barbering services to those in need and bedside haircuts to clients that were hospitalized. He was a real estate investor, owning many residential properties in the Buffalo area and enjoyed renovating houses. Derek was a founding member of Sword of the Spirit Ministries Church in Buffalo, New York. He was a faithful member for more than twenty-five years, serving in many capacities over the years. Derek will be lovingly remembered as kind, compassionate and understanding. He was a good listener and had a special way of encouraging and building others up. He was accepting and patient with everyone. His positivity was contagious. He loved to share his faith and to make people laugh. He left a legacy of faith and love to all who knew him. He will be greatly missed by all, but we know he is safely in the presence of the Lord whom he loved. Love Always & Forever!
