Derek Michael Cline

CLINE - Derek Michael Of Tonawanda, born July 19, 1975, entered into rest January 12, 2021. He was 45 years old. Beloved husband of Joyelle Cline (nee Glemb); loving son of Bill and Cathy Cline; dear brother of TJ Cline; adored son-in-law of Fred and Kathy Glemb. Dereks first love was his wife, Joyelle, and his second love was sports. Derek loved the game of baseball and hockey, and he was a huge fan of the NY Yankees and the Buffalo Sabres. After having surgery at the age of 14, Derek was not able to play hockey for a while. He was determined to stay involved in the game so he became a hockey official, and for the next 31 years Derek officiated games for various age groups from youth to college age. To this day Dereks love of baseball continues as he played in several hardball leagues each year and participated in several games at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown. He will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. Friends and relatives may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Snyder Chapel), 4614 Main St., near Harlem Rd., on Sunday 3-8 PM with a Funeral Service to follow immediately at 8 PM.
