Derrick Monroe

MONROE, Derrick of Buffalo formerly of Birmingham, AL entered into rest December 27, 2022. Beloved companion of Yvonne Kennebrew; devoted step-father of 5; cherished grandfather and great-grandfather of many; loving son of the late Samuel and Lula Monroe; dear brother of Allaine Brooks of Columbia, SC, Mattie Thomas, Andre Peavy, and the late Patricia Toney all of Cincinnati, OH; fond uncle of Chiffon Stewart of Columbia, SC and Jalencia (Shannon) Blair of Birmingham, AL; also survived by many family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan Dr., Saturday (January 14th) from 12-2 PM, where a Funeral Service will immediately follow. Derrick was a United States Army veteran. Derrick will always be remembered for his love of football, basketball, and food especially steak sandwiches and Arizona ice tea.
