NELSON - DeVere G. Sonny Of West Seneca formally DuBois, PA, entered into rest October 23, 2022. Beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Stewart) Nelson; devoted father of John (Victoria), Kerry (Debbie) Nelson, Pamela (David) Hubert, and Douglas (Renee) Nelson; cherished grandfather of Brian (Eric Huet), Joseph (Lucy LaPlaca) Hubert, Chad (Karen) Nelson, Holly (Gert) Arnold, Hannah, Samuel, Caleb, Joshua, Charity Nelson, Chris (Penny), Cody Willis, and Sarah Collins, cherished great grandfather of eight; loving son of the late Charles and Emma Nelson; dear brother of Charles (Jan) Nelson, and the late Bill (Carol), Paul (late Martha) Nelson, Della (Clarence) Vance, and Barry (Kay) Nelson; also survived by many family and friends. Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment Lakeside Cemetery. Sonny was a United States Air Force Korean War Veteran, worked for the B & O Railroad, and retired from the Ford Stamping Plant. He was an avid baseball, softball, bowler, and golfer for many different clubs and organizations. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sonnys honor to a charity or Church of your choice.
