Dr. Donald E. Wagner, Amherst, NY
A dentist for 50 years, Dr. Donald (Don) Wagner passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 20 at age 86. Prior to establishing his popular neighborhood practice, Dr. Wagner was a clinician at Buffalo Psychiatric Hospital (Center) and the West Seneca Developmental Center for 10 years.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 63 years, Linda, daughters Krista (Michael) Wagner-Naragon and Jennifer (John) Bennett, grandchildren Eli Naragon and Oliver Bennett, and sister Marjorie (Richard) Marcille.
In his youth, Don was a craftsman, serving as a letterpress printer in the family business. He entered the University of Buffalo on scholarship and attained both a B.A. in Psychology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree in 1964.
He was a proud lifetime learner, garnering a pilot’s license, studying several languages and scientific disciplines along the way. He served as President of his local barbershop society, the Friends of Harmony, performing at local, regional and international events.
