Donald A. Mattea

Mattea, Donald A. of Williamsville, a proud veteran of the US Army, entered into rest on June 19, 2024. Beloved husband to the late Ann Mattea. Devoted father of Diane Sharry and Donald(Jill) Mattea; cherished grandfather of Bryan Sharry, Beth(Mitchell) Ryan, Samantha(Thomas) LiSacchi, and Micheal Mattea. Dear brother of the late Charles Mattea, Carmen Mattea and Rosalie Coleman. Survived by his sister Jean Bucheker, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Proudly served in the US Army as a member of the military band. He had a 33 year career as an Instrumental Music Teacher for the Sweet Home School District. After retirement he continued to teach privately and served as a member of the loan committee for the Sweet Home Federal Credit Union. Relatives and friends may pay their respects at Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan on Thursday June 27 from 4-7PM. A funeral service will be held at Church of the Advent, 54 Delaware Rd. Kenmore on Friday, June 28 at 10AM (Please assemble at church). Interment at WNY National Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
