McDONALD - Donald Jay entered into rest on September 7, 2021 in Boca Raton, Florida. Don was an excellent example of a brilliant mind mixed with hard work ethics. Don attended SUNY Buffalo and completed his PHD in Electrical Engineering at age 24. He proceeded to continue a very successful career as a business leader of many business units. He served as Vice President and President of multiple companies such as GE, United Technologies and Technowise. Don was also always a high energy person who enjoyed the outdoors. Biking and skiing were his true passion. She is survived by his beloved fianc Lorena Ball and his fur baby Sammy; loving son of the late George and Kathryn McDonald; dear brother of James (Debra), John Jack (Tammy), and Gary (Marcia) McDonald, late Joan (Daniel) Mrozek and the late Theresa Nevereth; cherished uncle of William, Jeffrey, Christine, Nicholas, Melissa, Laura, Brandon, Dillon, Barbara, John, Patrick,Thomas, Shawn, Shannon and Kelly; also survived by many family and friends. Services will be held at the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel), 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Saturday andSunday from 2-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Victory Basilica, 767 Ridge Rd., Lackawanna, on Monday morning at 9:15 oclock (please assemble at church). Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.
