Slawinowski, Donald M. June 1, 1937 Sept 15, 2024 Of West Seneca, NY has gone to peaceful sleep in heaven on September 15, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Joanne (nee Nowicki) Slawinowski; Devoted and loved father of Patti Anne Najm and father-in-law of Fouad Najm; Loving grandfather of Brendon (Liane) and Jason Najm; Great-grandfather of Ryleigh Hannah Najm; Son of the late Marion and Angeline (nee Paradowski) Slawinowski; Oldest and dear brother of Robert (Diane) and sister Adrienne; Loving brother-in-law of the late Leonard (Geraldine) Nowicki; Also survived by many loving family and friends. After his service in the U.S. Army as a Medical Corpsman, he chose to continue helping people as a Mental Health Counselor. He worked at Buffalo General Hospital for 43 years. He was an avid sports enthusiast as a baseball player and enjoyed many decades playing golf and tennis. He coached countless youth in little league baseball through the years. He passed on his knowledge as well as the importance of good sportsmanship. No prior visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Fourteen Holy Helpers Church, 1345 Indian Church Rd., West Seneca on Saturday (September 21) at 10AM. Please assemble at Church. Interment WNY National Cemetery.
