Donna Eberhardt

EBERHARDT - Donna (nee Geary) Age 86 of Irving, NY, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Elderwood skilled nursing facility in Hamburg surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 22, 1933 in Buffalo, NY to the late William and Edith (Banks) Geary. Donna was known to many as "Grandma Donna" as she treated everyone like family by cooking for them and entertaining them with her singing and even yodeling. As a young lady, Donna began her waitressing career at Harvey and Carey's in Buffalo. She also served at Mauna Kai in Williamsville where she met life-long friends and customers. Donna worked at the Charlesgate Restaurant in Williamsville, NY for more than 20 years and was adored by customers and coworkers alike who loved her outgoing personality. Donna is survived by her three sons, Eugene (Sharon) Eberhardt of Silver Creek, NY, Michael (Rose) Eberhardt of Corfu, NY, Richard (Kris) Eberhardt of Raleigh, NC, and her daughter Donna (Randy) Zimpfer of Irving, NY. Donna is also survived by eight grandchildren: David, Brandon, and Gena Eberhardt; Jennifer and Bryan Eberhardt; Richard Eberhardt II; Lonna (Michael) Rich and Nicolas Merlino. She is further survived by six great-grandchildren whom she adored; as well as many precious nieces, nephews, and friends. Donna was predeceased by her parents, her loving husband Eugene Joseph Eberhardt, her dear sisters, Joan Azeez, Beverly Herbst, and Mary Geary, brother, William Geary and daughter-in-law, Marie Eberhardt. A celebration of life service will be held at Harvest Chapel, 39 Matteson St., Fredonia, NY at 11 o'clock on Saturday, August 31st. Arrangements are in the care of Lombardo Funeral Home.
