Donna Watkins (ne Lowry) was born in Kittanning, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Mary Lowry on September 10, 1940. Her family moved to Boston, New York in her teen years, where she would go on to build a life and family. In May of 1956, she married the late Dale Watkins, Sr. in Kentucky. She had five children in the years that followed: Debbie (Rainer) Watkins Jensen, Dale Jr. "Butch" (Lauren) Watkins, David (Mary) Watkins, Mike (Lori) Watkins and Mary Jo "Penny" (Roger) Becker. In 1969, she joined the Boston Emergency Squad, where she would serve for 24 years, until 1993. In that time, she served as president, treasurer and director of operations. She worked at the Department of Motor Vehicles for a few decades as a road test administrator. She was a member of Churchill United Methodist Church for most of her life and her faith comforted her in her final days. Her greatest pride and joy was her family. She loved spending time with her grandchildren: Frank Jensen, Rachel (Chris) Banas, Jenna (Jacob) Graber, Emyle and Samantha Watkins, Kristopher and James Becker; as well as her five great-grandchildren. She went home to Jesus on June 9, 2023 at home in Boston, New York, surrounded by family. She is survived by her older sister Joyce Lowry and younger brother Joseph "Mac" (late Teresa) Lowry, Jr, as well as nieces and nephews.
