RUSSO - Doris Of Brockport, formerly of Buffalo, NY entered into rest September 14, 2022; Beloved mother of Rachel (Justin) Seitenbach; devoted daughter of the late William and Josephine Russo; cherished sister of Patricia (David) Thomas, Joanne Russo and William (Kathleen) Russo; loving aunt of Lauren (Michele Cerimele) Cerimele-Welch, Kimberly (Charles Wilber) Wilkins, Kristina (Trevor) Brown, Gregory (Rachel) Wilkins, Margaret (Nick Darago) Russo and Elizabeth Russo; dear great aunt of John Tracy, Meena, Frederick, Oliver, Charlotte and Theadora. Relatives and friends may visit LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME, (Snyder Chapel) 4614 Main St., near Harlem, Snyder, NY, on Tuesday from 3 PM 7 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held in The Newman Center at UB, 495 Skinnersville Rd., Amherst, NY on Wednesday at 9 AM. Please assemble at church. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Doris graduated from Kenmore East High School in 1973 and went on to earn her bachelors degree in secondary science education, majoring in geology from The State University of New York College at Buffalo. She then earned her masters degree in secondary education and her certificate of advanced study in educational administration from The State University of New York at Brockport. Doris was house principal at Bay Trail Middle School in Penfield, NY for most of her career. As an executive member of Rotary International she received the Irv Kropman Award for outstanding service and was a very active volunteer in the Brockport community after retirement. Doris had a contagious, fun loving personality and enjoyed cooking, traveling, swimming and photography. She had a generous spirit and loved spending time with family and friends.
