Doris Mae Skora (ne Liffick), aged 95, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2024, in Buffalo, NY, where she was also born on June 17, 1929. Doris was a beloved figure in her community, known for her kind, funny, loving, and caring personality. Doris was the cherished wife of the late Anthony Skora and a devoted mother to Carol Skora (Joe Arlotta), Cathy Skora (Errol Sull), and Larry Skora (Bobbi Skora). She was a loving grandmother to Alex, Ben, and Madeline Skora, and affectionately known as 'Grandma Doris' to Kelly Walsh (Arlotta), Joey Arlotta, Heidi Landon (Cox), Kylie Walrath (Cox), and Carrington (Gillam). Her joy was further multiplied as a great-grandmother to Tommy and Greg Walsh, Kyler Landon, and Liam and Jack Walrath. Predeceased by her parents, Samuel and Jessie (Coyer) Liffick, and siblings Rose, Marge, Jean, Pat, Ron, Ken, and Bob Liffick, Doris's passing marks the end of a generation. Doris had an active mind and enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles, solving crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble and solitaire. She was an avid fan of Jeopardy and passionately supported her Buffalo Bills, showcasing her spirited and engaging nature. Doris Mae Skora's legacy of warmth, wit, and wisdom will be dearly missed and forever cherished by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
