Doris M. Young

YOUNG, Doris M. of Buffalo entered into rest on September 7, 2022. Devoted mother of Najja Addae and the late Paul Young; loving daughter of the late Walter and Margaret Jordan; dear sister of the late Mercedes (late Waddy) Thompson, Alvera Jordan, Juanita Wilkerson, Donald (Marsha) Jordan, and Lynn Williams; also survived by many family and friends. No prior visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Doris was young when she gave her life to the Lord at Trinity Baptist Church, Buffalo, NY. She graduated from Fostic Masten High School. She served the Lord with gladness and completed work to become a Pastor in 1991. She led several church congregations in the Buffalo and Niagara Falls area and was the Mother of The Word of Life Church located in Niagara Falls. She was a spiritual leader and touched the lives so many. She loved her cats and that led her to take care of stray cats in the neighborhood. Doris received her nursing degree and worked a nurse for over 30 years for Roswell Park. Arrangements by LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel).
