Douglas L. Muff
April 26, 1954 - November 1st, 2025
Douglas Lawrence Muff, born April 26th, 1954, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones, on November 1st, 2025.
Douglas was the eldest son of Lawrence and Wanda Muff and is survived by six siblings: brothers Russell, Lawrence, and Kevin, and sisters Dianne, Sherri, and Elaine. He grew up in Riverside and attended McKinley High School.
In 1973, Douglas enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and served in the motor pool.
After receiving an honorable discharge, he returned to Buffalo, where he married and raised three children: John, Andrew, and Tina.
Douglas worked briefly as a truck driver for Recticel Foam until the factory fire in 1985. He then joined American Brass, where he worked as a crane operator until his retirement in 2019. Operating a remote-controlled crane to move three-ton rolls of brass required a steady hand and plenty of confidence—both of which Douglas had in abundance.
He was passionate about music, especially Rock ‘n’ Roll from the 1950s through the 1970s. Douglas also loved collecting “Looney Tunes” memorabilia and nostalgic treasures from his childhood, reflecting his fondness for shows like The Rifleman and comics such as Beetle Bailey.
Douglas is survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Douglas lived his life with humor, dedication, and heart. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
