Dr. Geraldine M. "Geri" Irene

IRENE - Dr. Geraldine M. Of Williamsville, entered into rest February 6, 2021. Survived by her husband Ralph, three children, Christine, Patrick and Michael, and four grandchildren. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from the State University College at Brockport, New York. After teaching 2nd grade in the Rochester City School District and the Greece Central School District, Dr. Irene advanced her career by getting a Ph.D in Administration and Supervision from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She then went on to join the West Seneca School District in an administrative position. During her 27 years in the district, she served as a Vice Principal and became Director of Programs for the Gifted and Talented which were developed under her tutelage. She then served as Principal of the Allendale Kindergarten Center. Finally, Dr. Irene was assigned as Principal at East Elementary School where she retired in 2001.
