Duane "Gus" Evans

EVANS, Duane "Gus" of Amherst entered into rest on February 20, 2026. Devoted husband of Kim (nee Kennedy) Evans; beloved father of Jaclyn and Jayme Evans and the late Justin Jerge; cherished grandfather of Iyla, Carter, Kamryn, Johnathan, and Kennedy; loving son of the late Ronald and Jacqueline (nee Coleman) Evans; dear brother and uncle. Duane was a long time Hall of Fame coach of Amherst Youth Hockey and a U.S. Army Veteran. Relatives and friends may visit Lombardo Funeral Home (Northtowns Chapel) 885 Niagara Falls Blvd. near Eggert/Sheridan Dr. on Saturday, February 28 from 4-7pm, where Army honors and a prayer service will immediately follow.
