Effie M. Johansen

Johansen, Effie 'Dodie' March 18th, 1932 - August 5th, 2024 Beloved wife of the late Richard Johansen; Loving mother of Kirk (Kristi) and Kyle (Linda) Johansen; Cherished grandmother of Aaron, Andrea (T.J. Short) and Austin; Dearest Great Grandmother of Bryant and August Johansen and Lexie and Aubrie Short. Dodie was very dedicated to her nursing career, caring for people for 62 years before retiring in 2014. She was an active member of AORN for many years. Additionally, she was a life member of Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority and an active member of Zion United Church of Christ - donating her items as needed. Relatives and friends may visit Zion United Church of Christ at 15 Koenig Cir, Tonawanda, NY, on Thursday, August 15th for a Memorial Service at 6:00PM. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Dodie's memory to Zion United Church of Christ.
