POLETO - Elaine C. (nee George) Of Buffalo, entered into rest on April 9, 2023. Beloved wife of 54 years of Donald D. Poleto; devoted mother of Donald J. (Emmy) Poleto and Cindy (late Don) Cirbus; cherished grandmother of Nicholas, Grace, Joelle Poleto, Ashley and Megan Cirbus.; loving daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (nee Simon) George; dear sister of the late Josephine (late Harry) Wroblewski, George (late Marilyn) George, Anne (late Jerry) Tremblay, Raymond George, Mike (late Francis) George, Rita (late Fred) Larson and Gus (Donna) George.; loved by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3060 Abbott Rd., near Lake Ave., on Thursday (April 13th) from 4:00-8:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Charity Parish (Holy Family Worship Site) 1885 South Park Ave. South Buffalo on Friday morning at 9:30 AM. (Please assemble at Church) Elaine received a Bachelors Degree in Education from Buffalo State College, Masters Degree in School Administration from Canisius College. Was a Teacher for Holy Family Grammar school for 25 years. Assistant Principal at Immaculata Academy H.S. and St. Marks Grammar School. Elaine was Principal of St. Marys of the Lake Grammar school and St. Martins Grammar School until her retirement. And an Associate member of the Franciscan Sisters of St. Joseph.
