WAGAR - Elisabeth C. Lilo (nee Retzlaff ) Of Amherst, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2022 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Richard Wagar; devoted mother of Thomas (Lorena), John (Kristie) and Ron (Gretchen) Wagar; cherished grandmother of Katrina, Arianna, Caila, Marie, Victor and Bexley Wagar; loving daughter of the late Hans and Gerda (nee Baum) Retzlaff; dear sister of Hanni Retzlaff and the late Christiane Fides; also survived by family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan Dr., Friday from 3-7 PM where a Funeral Service will immediately follow. Elisabeth, fondly known as Lilo, was born in Germany where she later married and then moved to Central Square, NY, where she was a server and raised her three sons. She later moved to Amherst, NY to be closer to her grandchildren. Lilo always remembered birthdays and special occasions with cards and a phone call. She loved getting together with family and friends. Lilo enjoyed bowling, crafting and swimming. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Thalassemia Foundation.
